Promoting Entrepreneurship - The "Map of Actions"
The Entrepreneurship Education Action Plan (2020 to 2025) resulted from a cooperation between the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy and the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research with around 65 stakeholders, which developed a common vision for a sustainable Austria and bundled measures to achieve the goal.
A responsible society or economy needs responsible citizens who (help) shape their future through entrepreneurial and social initiatives. People who actively implement ideas are the engine for development and prosperity. The promotion and strengthening of entrepreneurship education has been one of the central political goals of the EU and Austria for many years. Entrepreneurship education represents the systematic "program for young people" - comparable to programs in sports - for the future designers of a sustainable society and economy.
The "Map of Actions" presented at the Entrepreneurship Summit on November 10, 2020, impressively shows that promoting entrepreneurship is not just the goal of politics. The private and public initiatives listed in it stand for an entire ecosystem that only works optimally if all actors work together.
"Educate, train and qualify today for tomorrow" is the great challenge that we all want to face, because not only the "successful" individual future of the next generations depends on it, but also the future of Austria as a business location.
