Same as in the monarchy, the court heritage continues to be used for furnishing state offices with a proper backdrop.

Many bodies of the Republic of Austria profit from the furnishing know-how of the Agency. Next to many federal ministries and Austrian embassies it is chiefly the office of the Federal President at the Vienna Hofburg and the Mürzsteg hunting lodge which are suitably furnished by the Bundesmobilienverwaltung.

To this end, some 24,000 items are on loan throughout the territory of Austria. Regular reviews are carried out at the borrower’s to conscientiously check and document their completeness and condition.

In addition to providing permanent furnishings for government offices, the Agency is also entrusted with rolling out the red carpet for official state guests and, through its staff at the Silver Collection, laying the table for state receptions.
