Unpaid Leave and Part-Time Work

Unpaid leave means being excused from work but also receiving no wages, while part-time work is a reduction of the previous number of working hours along with a reduction of pay.

Unpaid leave or part-time work can be agreed or taken advantage of in order to look after a child (parental leave), in order to undergo further education (educational leave), or to care for close relatives (care leave or family hospice leave).
