Austrian-Chinese Working Group on Investment

On October 16, 2012 the Federal Ministry for Science, Research and Economy – now Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy – welcomed a delegation of fifteen members of the Ministry of Commerce People's Republic of China as well as Chinese investment promotion institutions for the first meeting of a newly established Working Group on Investment. Both sides agreed that the meeting provided for an interesting exchange of views about laws, regulations and investment policies as well as on possibilities for further improving the investment climate and for intensifying the bilateral cooperation.

Participants appreciated the fruitful exchange conducted in a warm and cordial atmosphere. In the end, the Chinese Delegation extended an invitation for 2013 in Beijing. The meeting was followed by a visit of EBS, the main water treatment system plant in Vienna.
