Monitoring of facility licensing proceedings

The Federal Ministry for Labour and Economy, the federal states and the charter towns agreed to establish, as of 2017, a monitoring system, applicable throughout Austria, of the duration of the licensing proceedings for trade facilities.

Under this agreement, the Federal Ministry for Labour and Economy publishes the results for each calendar year.

The charter cities/towns are represented in the monitoring system by Österreichischer Städtebund (Austrian Association of Cities and Towns).

The results constitute statistical averages and may deviate on either side depending on the location.
The breakdown of results for urban areas (represented by charter cities/towns) and extra-urban areas (represented by the district commissioner‘s offices) serves to improve statistical approximation. The table does not constitute any guarantee for the duration of any future individual proceedings.

Information on data secrecy

The monitoring system at the Federal Ministry for Labour and Economy does not process data on individual proceedings or personal data. For the monitoring, the federal government uses and processes solely statistically aggregated data without any reference to individuals or companies.
